Family Fun day out - Worcester, Western Cape
As the Breede Valley’s oldest community market, it still attracts hundreds of visitors each month thanks to its quality, variety and vibrancy.
Pure Boland is back from its break
The first Pure Boland Market of 2020 will be happening this weekend (Saturday, February 1.)
As the Breede Valley’s oldest community market, it still attracts hundreds of visitors each month thanks to its quality, variety and vibrancy.
Quality is guaranteed as each product is presented by a small business owner with a passion for their craft. Exhibitors were furthermore carefully selected to create a one-stop shop-local experience. Add plenty of seating and lively music to the mix, and the shopping trip doubles up as a wonderfully laidback social event.
To enjoy at the market:
• A selection of breakfast or brunch options like traditional roosterkoek and croissants.
• Varying lunches, from burgers to curries depending on the season.
• Ready-to-eat gourmet salads.
• A dazzling array of decadent sweet treats.
• Craft beer, local wine, cocktails and soft drinks depending on the season.
• Freshly roasted coffee served by a trained barista.
To take home:
• Seasonal fresh produce straight from surrounding farms.
• Fresh-cut flowers grown by local producers.
• Authentic Italian home-made pasta.
• A variety of home-made preserves.
• Artisanal breads from stone-ground flour and baked in a fire oven.
• A variety of meat cuts, biltong and droëwors.
• Locally produced dried fruits.
• A wide variety of hand-made and other unique gifts.
Find the Pure Boland Market at the iconic Groenstoor in Brandwacht outside Worcester. It was founded in 2009 and is held on the first Saturday of every month (except January) from 09:00 to 14:00.
